Inorder to carry out planned maintenance activities, the Rural InfrastructureMaintenance Cell (RIMC) was set up in LGED by the government in 1992, which hassubsequently been renamed as Rural InfrastructureMaintenance Management Unit (RIMMU) in 2004. RIMMU is headed by anAdditional Chief Engineer, who is supported by a Superintending Engineer,Executive Engineer, Sr. Assistant Engineers and a group of MaintenanceSpecialists
