Mechanical Unit, Function

Management, Maintenance and operation of all construction equipment and transports.
Update and maintain vehicle /equipment database.
Central workshop management.
Maintenance, operation and supervision of utility equipment (lift, central Air-conditioning, electrical sub-station, emergency power generator, water pumping units, security system, fire fighting system etc.)
Maintenance of QC laboratory equipment.
Monitoring district level mechanical activities
Prepare maintenance budget of vehicles/ equipment.
Design & implementation of renewable energy related projects (Solar, Bio-gas, Micro-hydro, wind, etc)
Policy level contribution to the renewable energy sector.
Preparation of technical specifications of vehicle, construction equipment, all kinds of electro-mechanical equipment, QC laboratory equipment etc.
Provide assistance in quick implementation of road construction and maintenance works of Rural Infrastructure Development through proper utilization of construction equipment and machinery.
Provide assistance and play active role in drainage management, cleaning management, SWM, water supply and water treatment etc for the improvement of urban sector management.
Provide assistance in construction and erection of rubber dam and water regulator, installation and maintenance of irrigation water pump etc. under water sector management.
Provide technical support to other local government institutions as well as to other ministries and departments.
Provide assistance in mechanized construction management and assistance for equipment selection for different development project.
